Thermoelectric Modules | Embeded System | LED Lighting

A thermoelectric generator relies on the "thermoelectric effect" to convert heat directly into electricity. It is a solid state device with no moving parts and so it is completely silent and extremely reliable. Due to the high reliability of thermoelectric power supplies they have been used for years to provide electrical power in space missions where solar power is not available. Two examples of the many space missions that have relied on thermoelectric power supplies are the "Voyager" that was sent into deep space and has operated successfully for more the 20 years and the "Apollo" lunar missions where thermoelectric power supplies powered equipment that was left behind for more than a decade.

Important B

Test indicates that the TEGs share the same characteristics with batteries, when connected in series, Voutput=VTEG1 + VTEG2
when in Parallel, VTEG1=VTEG2 (Note: Connect the same TEG under the same circumstance)
so, to achieve higher Output Voltage or current, you could use such features or DC-DC converter.
Important A

Our TEG Max. operation temperature intermittently up to 230 Celsius Degree(446F),
constant Max. working temperature 210 Celsius Degree(410F).
ALL our thermoelectric generators come with epoxy edge sealed, if you need TEG or TEC unsealed, please mention in your order.
Minimum order for our thermoelectric generators (TEG): 5pcs/Model; for large quantity, please contact us for special price.

  • Test 1
Load resistance 1,2 ohms

a. Differential temp (dT) 40 degree C P= 0,75 W with 1 Volt and 0,75 Amps
b. dT =77 degree C P=2,34 W with 1,8 Volts and 1,3 Amps
c. dT=122 degree C P=4,42 W with 2,6 Volts and 1,7 Amps

  • Test 2
Load resistance 2,5 ohms

a. Differential temp (dT) 38 degree C P= 0,4 W with 1 Volt and 0,4Amps
b. dT =73degreeC P=1,8 W with 2,25 Volts and 0,8 Amps
c. dT=125 degree C P=4,21 W with 3,6 Volts and 1,17 Amps
